About

I am a fourth-year PhD student in Philosophy at the University of Leeds, working under the supervision of Prof. Helen Steward and Dr. Léa Salje. I submitted my PhD thesis in October 2020 and will have my viva in December 2020.

I grew up in Easton, Pennsylvania, and did my undergraduate work in Politics and Philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh. I completed an MA in Philosophy at Florida State University in April 2016.

My primary research interests concern the metaphysics of powers and causality and the free will debate. I also have significant research interests throughout ethics (including political philosophy) as well as in epistemology and (more recently) general philosophy of science.

Outside of academics, I enjoy making frequent treks into the magnificent Yorkshire countryside (and beyond), playing softball and baseball, and doing some photography.
