My primary research interests concern the metaphysics of powers and causality and the free will (and moral responsibility) debate. I also have significant research interests throughout ethics (including meta-ethics and social and political philosophy) as well as in certain areas of epistemology and, more recently, general philosophy of science. My teaching interests are equally broad.
I grew up in Easton, Pennsylvania, USA, and did my undergraduate work in Politics and Philosophy in the Honors College at the University of Pittsburgh. I completed an MA in Philosophy at Florida State University in April 2016, with focuses in the metaphysics of free will and in ethics.
Outside of academics, I enjoy making frequent treks into the magnificent Yorkshire countryside (and beyond), playing softball, and doing some landscape, nature, and general photography.
