About

In January 2021, I received my PhD in Philosophy at the University of Leeds, having worked under the supervision of Prof. Helen Steward and Dr. Léa Salje.

My primary research interests concern the metaphysics of powers and causality and the free will (and moral responsibility) debate. I also have significant research interests throughout ethics (including meta-ethics and social and political philosophy) as well as in certain areas of epistemology and, more recently, general philosophy of science. My teaching interests are equally broad.

I grew up in Easton, Pennsylvania, USA, and did my undergraduate work in Politics and Philosophy in the Honors College at the University of Pittsburgh. I completed an MA in Philosophy at Florida State University in April 2016, with focuses in the metaphysics of free will and in ethics.

Outside of academics, I enjoy making frequent treks into the magnificent Yorkshire countryside (and beyond), playing softball, and doing some photography.
